What you’ll paint during the marathon
Day 1
«Golden Day»
You’ll learn how to:
- capture the atmosphere of daylight playing on the architecture of a temple, creating lively, light-filled images
- work without making a muddy mess or over-drying your paper
Day 2
«City Lights at Night»
You’ll learn how to:
- convey the unique vibe and sense of space in a nighttime seaside city
- work with a limited color palette
Day 3
«Kiss of the Sunset»
You’ll learn how to:
- capture the mystical mood that wraps around a temple at sunset
- use backlighting to create dramatic silhouettes, highlight outlines, and show depth
Day 4
«Harbor of Ships»
You’ll learn how to:
- create harmonious and expressive compositions that make the main thing stand out in a scene with ships and a port
- work cleanly, without muddying things up
Day 5
«Suzdal Frosts»
You’ll learn how to:
- capture the feeling of winter
- achieve airiness and depth of color

What materials we will use in the marathon
- Flat brushes (goat) – 5 cm, 3 cm, 1.5 cm
- Round brushes (synthetic) – sizes 10, 12
- Round thick brush (squirrel mix)
- Flat brushes (synthetic) – sizes 6, 10, 16
- Calligraphy brushes for details (a thin one for masts and small details, a thicker one for wider lines)
- Paints
- Paper: 100% cotton, 200–300 gsm
